As Long Island Homeowners get ready for Valentine's Day this weekend, single digit temperatures and wind chills below zero are setting in.  Don't forget to protect your pet from the cold temperatures.

Keep your cat indoors during these frigid temperatures.

Keep your dog on their leash when on ice or snow.  Dogs can lose their scent and can become lost.  Remove snow, ice, and salt from your dog's paw pads.  Make sure your pet has a warm place to sleep, like on a blanket or pet bed.

Have a safe and warm Valentine's Weekend Long Island!
